We live in a big, beautiful country, but we happen to think Montana is the best part of it (just an opinion). And not only do some people disagree, but a few can be downright hateful when speaking of the Treasure State. Of course, anyone who feels that way can just have a seat.

1. Our scenery is like no other.

3. Montana was the first state to elect a woman to Congress.

It’s true! Her name was Jeannette Rankin and she won a seat in Congress before women could even legally vote.
4. Montanans are incredibly kind.

There are bad and good people everywhere, but Montana happens to have a lot of really good people.
5. We know how to have a good time.

Whether you grew up in a tiny town or you were raised in a bigger city like Billings or Missoula, you always found great ways to entertain yourself as a child, and now you know how to have a blast as an adult.
6. We have Glacier National Park, the Crown Jewel of the Continent.

The Treasure State has lakes, rivers, mountains and plains. There is whitewater rafting, fishing, hunting, skiing, hiking, and horseback riding to be done. There are museums and antique shops to see. We have bookstores and libraries. And if you’re flat broke or too tired to move, we have the most incredible sunsets to watch.
