The Blodgett Canyon is one of more than two dozen scenic canyons carved into the eastern flank of the Bitterroot Range.

After running northeast for about a mile, it turns east and descends for a total of about 12 miles to the Bitterroot Valley. The canyons here were carved out by ice age glaciers, which left behind U-shaped valleys, steeply carved granite mountains, cliffs, and cirques.
This is an out-and-back trail, meaning you'll eventually head back the way you came.
