You’re Guaranteed To Love A Trip To This Epic Cheese Farm In Montana
Victor is a sleepy little farming town in Ravalli County. Home to about 750 people and many animals, it’s best known for its Field of Screams pumpkin patch that takes place every October. But should you find yourself in the area, make sure you make your way to Lifeline Creamery & Farm Store, especially if you’re a cheese lover.

Today the farm is a partnership between three of its earliest members. The farm has two distinct parts, Lifeline Farm and Lifeline Produce. Cheese is made once or twice a week here, and they also make butter and bottle fresh cream weekly.

All of their feeds are organically grown with no chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides. The animals receive no growth or production hormones, no routine antibiotics, and no animal by-products in their feed.

The varieties of cheese made at the farm varies. Lifeline's cheeses are hand-crafted in small batches using milk exclusively from their own brown Swiss cows. This breed produces a milk high in proteins and solids, which is ideal for cheese production.

They also sell butter, milk, beef and pork sausage. Their products can be found at Farmers Markets and specialty grocery stores all over Western Montana.
The Lifeline Creamery & Farm Shop is a beautiful place to visit. Farms like this are what make Victor one of Montana’s more charming small towns.
