There’s not much to the tiny town of Wisdom, Montana. With an estimated population of 98, it’s safe to say this place is quiet and peaceful. But Wisdom happens to be home to an all-in-one shop, Hook and Horn Trading Post. And this quirky, old-fashioned spot has a little bit of everything.

Wisdom is located in Beaverhead County, about 75 miles southwest of Butte.

It was named for the Wisdom River, which is now named the Big Hole River and flows right through the town.
