Drive-in theaters are slowly becoming a thing of the past, which is unfortunate. Luckily, we’ve still got a few of them here in the Last Best Place. When you’re feeling nostalgic on a warm, summer evening, hop in the car and head to Silver Bow Drive-In in Butte.

Silver Bow Drive-In is located at Exit 119 Off of I-15, about six miles south of Butte.

The Hansen Family opened it in 1977 with a single screen, and the same family still owns it today.
A second screen was added in 1980, making this the first twin drive-in theater in Montana.

The cost to see a movie here is $6 per adult ($4 for children). Bring cash for your admission and snacks -- this place is cash only, just like it used to be.
The Silver Bow is one of Montana's last remaining drive-in theaters, and it's such a fun place to spend an evening with the family or someone special.

There are no outside speakers here, so if you want to sit outside, don't forget to bring a portable radio.
