If You Can Only Hike 1 Montana Trail This Fall, You'll Want To Make It This One
Autumn in Montana is absolutely gorgeous — and often short. We’re prone to some pretty early snowfall here in the Treasure State, especially in the Glacier National Park area. But if you can work in one single hike this season, that’s where you should be.

To reach the trailhead, just follow the Many Glacier Road until you see clearly marked signs for the Grinnell Glacier Trail.

However, aside from its length, it's not extraordinarily difficult.

Aside from Grinnell Glacier, you'll see Swiftcurrent Lake, Lake Josephine, alpine meadows, waterfalls, and of course, plenty of fall foliage.

Fall foliage typically peaks at the park in early October.

This trail is iconic for a reason, and if you're an avid hiker, it's a bucket list adventure for sure.
