Fine dining has its time and place, but for the most part, Montanans love to enjoy a casual, delicious meal in a laid back environment. Still, there’s something special about eating outdoors, especially if the restaurant happens to be nestled in the midst of some of the Treasure State’s finest scenery. If you have yet to enjoy a meal at the Gallatin Riverhouse Grill, take advantage of our upcoming patio weather and you’ll see why it’s truly a magical dining experience.
The Gallatin Riverhouse Grill is located in Big Sky near Gallatin Gateway, surrounded by rolling hills and mountain ranges.
This is, hands down, some of the best BBQ in Montana (and the entire West). From fried chicken to smoked turkey to beef brisket, the menu offers all kinds of delicacies.

The food is the true star of the show here, so if all you're looking for is a hearty meal, you'll find it.
Owners Kyle and Greg met on this very property when it was the Half Moon Saloon, promptly becoming good friends. After the old establishment closed, they dreamed of opening their own restaurant together, finally purchasing the very property where they'd met and turning it into the Gallatin Riverhouse Grill in 2013. The rest is delicious history.
The Gallatin Riverhouse Grill is open daily from 3 p.m. until midnight.
