While you won’t find many places in the Treasure State that are unwelcoming—at least to visitors who don’t intend to stay forever—some spots are certainly friendlier than others. But believe it or not, last year, one of Montana’s cities was ranked as the friendliest in the entire country. According to the many Expedia travelers who voted, Whitefish is the friendliest city in Montana – and the U.S as a whole.
We all known that Whitefish's location is pretty much perfect, especially for those who love outdoor recreation.
It's easy to be happy and kind when your life is so incredible and you're surrounded by such stunning nature.
Of course, it's entirely possible that those who work in the hospitality industry are friendly to strangers in hopes they'll spend their vacation money at their business.
But even if that happened to be true, at least in part, we couldn't blame them for rolling out the red carpet for visitors when tourism is so important for the city.
Whatever the reasons were for Whitefish winning such an award, there's no denying that it's a pretty great place to be.
It's really no wonder that thousands of tourists visit every year and many of us have considered relocating after spending even one solid weekend in Whitefish.
