Montanans have some mixed feelings about our quirkiest city, Missoula. But there’s one thing we tend to agree on: The food options are fantastic. In fact, you might just find the most diverse culinary scene in the state.
Missoula is Montana's third largest city, so it makes sense that it would have an abundance of delicious dining options.
And it's true that you'll find a little bit of everything here.
Montana is a little north of the Mason-Dixon line for BBQ aficionados to take it seriously here, but even the biggest BBQ fans can admit the Notorious P.I.G. is legit.
On Wednesdays during the summer, you can eat your way around Caras Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as the Missoula Downtown Association hosts Out to Lunch.
This event attracts the best mobile food carts and trucks in the region.
And if you miss Out to Lunch, you'll have another chance for some food truck grub at Downtown ToNight, held every Thursday during summer at Caras Park.
This is just a fraction of the delectable dining options you’ll find in Missoula. And if you’re on the fence about visiting, here are a few more good reasons to go.
