If you’ve spent any time in Hamilton, you know it’s an absolutely delightful little town. The Daly Mansion is a must-see, and the Ravalli County Museum and Historical Society offers a great glimpse into the past. And when the time comes to fuel up (by filling your belly, that is), treat yourself to a meal at Montana’s service station-themed eatery, the Filling Station Grille. Not only is the ambiance delightful, but the food happens to be delicious.
Filling Station Grille sits near the end of Main Street, where it has been serving happy patrons since 2009.
Since its opening, it has become a beloved local hot spot. It's also won quite a few local awards, like Bitterroot’s Best Sandwich and Bitterroot’s Best Soups and Most Hospitable Restaurant.
But what this place is really known for is its epic collection of gas station memorabilia.
Their burger menu (Banging Burgers) is extensive, ranging from classic cheeseburgers to the unique AJ's Tortilla Burger and the enormous Junkyard Burger.
The menu also lists plenty of other hearty entrees, sandwiches, and homemade soups.
Best of all, Filling Station Grille is proud to be the only restaurant in the Bitterroot Valley that serves New Mexican Food, featuring fresh New Mexico Hatch Green Chili.
