Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park is a 3,000-acre park located about 12 miles east of Whitehall.

The park offers two tours. The Classic Cave Tour is moderately difficult, two hours long, covers two miles, and involves elevation gains of 300 feet, ascending 100 stairs, and descending 500 stairs.
The Main Visitor Center focuses on the geology, flora, and fauna of the park. The Cave Visitor Center focuses on the caverns. There you will find a 29-minute video, a small museum, and even a cave exploration room.
Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park also has a gift shop and cafe.
