Once nicknamed the crown jewel of the Hi-Line, Havre is a charming little railroad city located in north-central Montana. Although it was founded primarily to serve as a major railroad service center for the Great Northern Railway, these days, it’s a pretty quiet place best known for its Havre Beneath the Streets tour.
But this is definitely a city that hasn’t forgotten its roots. Take the appropriately named Boxcars Restaurant and Bar, which serves tasty food and cold drinks in a vaguely railroad themed building.
Boxcars is open daily from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m except for Saturdays, when they open at 1 p.m. Check out the latest food and drink specials on their Facebook page.
