For years, Missoula has been a popular town within Montana to live, work, and play. The community, on the western end of the state, has long been noted for its high quality of life, recreational opportunities, and bustling education scene. Set against the gorgeous backdrop of the Clark Foot River and five separate mountain ranges, Missoula also has been known for its robust entrepreneurial community. A stroll through the city streets will reveal an abundance of locally run shops, making Missoula pretty perfect for a day trip in Montana.
While perusing Missoula’s commercial corridors, a stop at Shakespeare & Co. Booksellers is a great way to accent a leisurely stroll through the city.
Shakespeare & Co. was founded in 1998 and sells an assortment of books across all genres. The shop also has available a variety of magazines, blank journals, note cards, and postcards.
After browsing the paper-filled shelves of Shakespeare & Co., a stop at the Lake Missoula Tea Company is a great way to accent the experience. Owners Heather and Jake Kreilick first opened the doors to their shop in 2012.
Over the years, the Lake Missoula Tea Company has been noted for its rich array of artisanal blends. They are inspired by tea farms in China, Kenya, Indonesia, and Taiwan. The tea house offers a full organic leaf collection.
