The Bigfork Elves (beloved local volunteers of all ages) gather at Bigfork Inn bundled in hats, gloves, and warm coats for Decorating Day, a long-held tradition dating back 40 years, which also coincides with the Parade of Lights.

The elves gather on the first Saturday to begin decking the halls (and storefronts) of the entire downtown area with over 10,000 feet of lights and garland.
Then, the Holiday Art Walk begins at 4:00 p.m. and leads visitors through the freshly decorated town to admire all the lights and garland, sample wines and treats, and take advantage of sales offered by the galleries and shops.
