Where is another one of the best state parks in Montana?
Giant Springs State Park welcomes the entire family and friends to enjoy its unique geologic features and a wide variety of recreational activities. It was first recorded by the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805 and remains one of the largest freshwater springs in the U.S. It is located just outside of Great Falls and on about 14 miles of Missouri River shoreline offering birdwatching, fishing, boating, picnicking, biking, and hiking along the park’s 30+ miles of paved and dirt single-track trails. The trails are part of the 60-mile River’s Edge Trail System.
Where is another one of the best hiking trails in Montana?
Take the Red Rock Falls Trail in Glacier National Park, a 3.6-mile out-and-back easy route near Siyeh Bend, Montana. The elevation change on the hike is only 236 feet. It starts from the Swiftcurrent Pass Trailhead at the far end of the parking area for the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn at the end of Many Glacier Road. The trail mostly travels under the forest shade, however, there are many opportunities for outstanding mountain views in the open areas along the way.
