BaseGlamp began as an escape. It was established in 2020 by four medical professionals who were in search of a place to quarantine themselves and their families when the world shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to BaseGlamp Founder, Maura Hamilton, the space was just a dream but has since grown to provide "a meaningful connection with others and nature, while creating an outlet from the stressful world in a time like never before."
And while BaseGlamp may have started as a dream, today, it is certainly dreamy. This unique destination is situated on 20 gorgeous acres, just a short drive from Whitefish, Montana. When you arrive, you will find 12 unique geodesic domes that create a night outdoors you will not soon forget.
"I attribute our success to our persistence and love of what we have created," Hamilton says. "We truly enjoy being in nature, making human connections, and providing a space of escape for any and all people."

There are several types of dome options available, allowing you to find the best accommodations for your group. Options include everything from a standard dome with a single queen-size mattress to a premium mezzanine dome featuring one ground-level king-size mattress and one mezzanine-level full-size mattress.
No matter which dome you reserve, you’ll enjoy a long list of amenities to ensure your stay is relaxing and convenient, including a memory foam mattress, private bathroom, mini fridge, French press, and more.
The design of the domes is what will truly impress. They each feature large windows, including a skylight, where you can relax inside and enjoy gorgeous views day and night.
The domes are also fully insulated so you can stay at the perfect temperature no matter what the weather may be outdoors. Some of the domes also offer private outdoor patios and hot tubs, giving you even more space for a little rest and relaxation.
Plus, BaseGlamp is a prime location for all types of adventures. In the winter, you can head to Whitefish Mountain Resort and in the summer, visit Glacier National Park, just 40 minutes from this Montana glamping destination.
And it’s not only cozy accommodations that BaseGlamp offers. Hamilton and her team are also doing all they can to improve the environment. All of the pods are designed to create minimal disturbance to the natural landscape, are made using fireproof and fire-resistant materials, use low-flow sinks and showers, and also use recycle containers when possible.
While you will love a night under the stars at BaseGlamp, Hamilton loves running this destination near Whitefish, Montana. She loves the creative freedom it brings. "To take ideas, small and big, cultivate them and see them come to fruition is indescribable," she says, "especially when you see guests enjoying those ideas in real life."
