Just west of St. Louis in Eureka is the Endangered Wolf Center where you can learn about wolf ecology and see these beautiful and often misunderstood animals up-close and personal.

The Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka is an amazing non-profit that works to preserve and protect wolf populations through educational programs, managed breeding, and reintroduction to the wild.

At the Endangered Wolf Center you can be a keeper for a day and learn how to care for these amazing animals at the center. This is a great way to get up-close and personal with the animals. Those age 14-17 require an adult to attend as a chaperone.
You can also take an hour and half long PredaTour or a photography tour.

During the summer months of June, July, and August, PredaTours are offered at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1.pm. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The expert keepers will educate you on all the species of wolves and foxes that are being cared for at the center.

Although they are extremely adorable, Fennec Foxes are ultimately still a wild animal. However, you can "adopt" a Fennec Fox (or any of the other animals at the center) and help support their livelihood. Plus you will get an annual membership, photos, and your own stuffed animal fox to cuddle up to at night.
Adults can re-connect with their wild side at Yoga with Wolves, Wine and Cheese Wolf Howl, or Foxy Fridays.
