Over a hundred years ago, the warehouse district in Kansas City known as the West Bottoms was booming with business. Today the area can seem somewhat desolate. However, with warmer weather ahead the West Bottoms Historic District is once again blooming into the best place in Missouri for antiquing. From antique treasures to up-cycled decor pieces, you won’t believe what you can find when you come to explore these huge, old warehouses.
On the first Friday of every month, the West Bottoms district in Kansas City comes alive. Vendors open the doors to their massive warehouses that are chock full of antiques and home decor.
While some of the stores in the West Bottoms District are open for business every weekend, so many more join the party on First Fridays. You can explore 22 warehouses in a six block area with approximately 600 vendors!
