The building once housed Dave and Jacquie’s, but underwent a major renovation when new owners purchased the building in 2012. Patrons were excited to see the new restaurant and bar...but they had one question: "Are the squirrels still there?"
The taxidermy squirrels, anthropomorphized in various funny poses, have been a popular attraction for years. The new owners embraced the squirrels, using them in social media advertising and even giving them a special photo page on their website.
