As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
A bucket list is kind of like a promise we make to ourselves. We write down all of the things we dream of doing, and then, one by one, we tick them off, creating new memories that will journey with us throughout the rest of our lives. If you don’t have a bucket list, you might want to start one and if you do, we’ve got the perfect addition for you. Book a stay at Hotel Vandivort, the first urban boutique hotel in Springfield, Missouri.
A relative newcomer to Springfield, Hotel Vandivort opened in 2015, but the story of the historic building in which it sits starts long before.
Those who lived and traveled through Springfield in the early part of the 20th century originally knew this historic building as a Masonic Temple, which occupied the space for more than three-quarters of a century, beginning in 1906.
Today, the urban boutique hotel draws locals and visitors with this sleek style and a vibe that perfectly combines modern and old school, making it worthy of a spot on your bucket list.
With 98 guest rooms in two buildings, the Hotel Vandivort promises a long list of amenities, many of them green, including luxurious bedding, blackout blinds, and walk-in showers. Many of the rooms even have a wet bar.
The Hotel Vandivort is also home to Vantage, a rooftop bar where you can drink in some of those sensational views, and The Order, a charming restaurant that focuses on farm-to-table dishes.
Nestled just .01 of a mile from downtown Springfield, the boutique hotel is within walking distance of such attractions as the History Museum on the Square, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, and the Springfield Little Theatre.
