The things you’ll find at Noir are pretty strange. This incredibly unique parlor features a carefully selected curation of truly unusual antiques, oddities, home décor, and vintage art. If you’re drawn to the dark and learning about dead things, then this is the place for you.
The shop is located on 39th Street in Kansas City's eclectic Volker neighborhood.
Noir Arts & Oddities was established in 2014 by Pamela Smith. It started as a 10x12 vendor stall in a vintage store until it moved into its own brick and mortar shop on 39th Street.
It feels like a museum, but most of the interesting items you'll find here are available for purchase.
Noir specializes in many scientific artifacts such as taxidermy, medical antiques, and natural wet specimens.
You might even find some preserved brain while you're there.
Some of the antiques look like they could be straight out of a horror movie.
Each item has its own story and usually includes a placard next to it with some information.
Where else can you find a conjoined fetal skeleton?
Noir is more than just an eclectic store, it's become a community.
The store not only provides an amazing curation of antique items, but also a place for people interested in the morbid and macabre to meet up.
Noir Arts & Oddities is open from Wednesday to Sunday and is located at 1609 W. 39th Street in Kansas City. Have you been to this shop before?
