Our beautiful state also lays claim to countless bridges, including its four remaining covered bridges. The tallest bridge in Missouri sits atop the list of the most impressive bridges in the state. If you’ve not driven over it or have not seen it for yourself, you definitely want to add the Christopher S. Bond Bridge to your must-visit list.

The Christopher S. Bond Bridge, in Kansas City, made its debut, replacing the Paseo Bridge, in September 2010 when several of the six lanes of the new bridge welcomed traffic.

During the construction of the Christopher S. Bond Bridge, traffic continued as normal on the four lanes of the Paseo Bridge.

However, it wasn't until December of that year that all lanes open on the Christopher S. Bond Bridge, effectively shutting down the Paseo Bridge. The process of deconstructing that bridge would be complete by the following July.
