There’s A Sweet Corn Festival Happening In Missouri And You’ll Absolutely Want To Go
Summer just might be the tastiest season of the year, at least for those of us who enjoy the freshest fruits and veggies. We have so many ways to enjoy that freshness, too, whether it’s visiting a local farm to pick strawberries or spending time at this sweet corn festival in East Prairie, Missouri.


Past festivals have included a car show, face painting for the kiddos, and vendors selling a variety of goods.

Routes range from 15 miles to 100 miles, and each follows along at least a section of the Mississippi River Cycling Trail.

Contestants are divided into age groups – five to eight years; nine to 13 years; and 14 and older (adults). Cash prizes will be awarded to first and second place in all three categories.

The event will be held on June 24. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. while the competition begins at 11 a.m.
