If you’re brand new to horseback riding, you can sign up for the stables’ popular intro course, followed by a trail ride. The course consists of an hour of classroom study and an hour of hands-on experience before setting off on an hour-long trail ride.
Ready to hit the trails straight away? You can do that, too, on the two-hour trail ride. Your experience begins with a brief safety overview and a ride around the arena before you head out on the trail.
Make sure you’re comfortable by wearing clothes that are appropriate for the day’s weather. Boots or closed-toe shoes and long pants are mandatory. You’ll probably want to bring a water bottle along, too.
Sunset Trails Stables also hosts birthday parties, can bring its petting zoo to your party, and offers riding camp for the kiddos. You can also sign up for horseback riding lessons or board your horse at the stables.
