In just two months, we’ll celebrate the first day of summer! While we don’t know just how normal life will look by then, we certainly can start dreaming about summer fun and the warmer days ahead. Just how hot it will get and how much rain will fall this summer in Missouri really depends on in which part of the state you live.
Start planning for the hot summer days ahead. If the Old Farmer’s Almanac is right, part of Missouri is in for a hotter summer than normal. Other parts will enjoy a slightly warmer than normal summer.
Those in the Heartland region – including Columbia, Kansas City, St. Louis, Independence, and Springfield – will have temperatures that are slightly warmer than normal, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
Get ready for the hottest days of the summer, forecasted from the middle to the end of June, the middle of July, and the middle and the end of August. Summer will lead to a warmer than normal fall with less rain expected.
You’ll likely see lower than normal rainfall during the summer. However, September and October will more than make up for it with higher than normal rainfall and higher than average temperatures.
Are you looking forward to summer in Missouri? Do you like the hot weather or prefer the prediction just as it is? Let us know in the comments! Now that spring has arrived so have the spring peepers. Have you heard the song of the spring peepers yet this season?
