Fall is perfect for spending time outside enjoying the fall foliage and cool autumn breezes. We have already shared the fall foliage predictions , beautiful fall day trips , awesome harvest festivals , and other great ways to celebrate the season, but a visit to this one town may just be the best was to appreciate autumn.
St. Charles is the third oldest city in Missouri.
Located just across the Missouri River, St. Charles has worked hard to preserve the historic places of its founding and continues to grow as a modern city.
St. Charles holds the esteemed distinction of a Nationally Registered Historic District.
You will find shops, restaurants, and all of the old world charm of a 200-year-old town.
Main Street offers more than 20 unique shops where you can find handmade jewelry, soap, specialty spices, and many other one-of-a-kind treasures.
The Mother-In-Law House Restaurant on Main Street has been serving a fine dining experience at affordable prices since 1981.
It's one of over 25 restaurants to choose from when you visit St. Charles. Many of the restaurants offer patios, which are perfect for a lunch or dinner outside in the fall.
