The Unique Town In Missouri That's Anything But Ordinary
Missouri is comprised of some pretty wonderful cities, but this unique town in particular takes the cake. St. Joseph is north of Kansas City and is worth a trip to if you’re ever driving through that area.

Fur trader Joseph Robidoux initially took ownership of the land as a trading post, but it soon turned into the city of St. Joseph. During the first few years, it reamined pretty small, but the California gold rush in 1848, drew in many westward travelers passing through.

St. Joseph is home to the place where Jesse James was gunned down by Robert Ford. The one-story, Greek Revival-style, frame home still stands today.

River Bluffs Park and Krug Park are just a couple of the beautiful spots in the city to enjoy a lovely day outside.

Residents and visitors can enjoy local art and music every first Saturday in downtown St. Joseph.

Arrowhead Stadium is not the only place you can catch the Kansas City Chiefs. Each year, they train at Missouri Western State University.

Apple Blossom Festival includes a festival, parade and a royal court. Each year the theme changes, making it truly unique.

This award-winning museum tells the 130-year history of the state hospital and centuries of mental health treatment.

During the 1800s, mail was transported via the Pony Express. The St. Joseph stable has been preserved and turned into a museum for all ages to come and visit.
