While life doesn’t always allow us to travel the way we might like, we can still experience so many corners of the United States without crossing our borders. If you’re in the mood for some old-fashioned Cajun food just like they dish up in Louisiana, you don’t have to fly down to New Orleans. Instead, head over to Shrimp Daddy’s, the best seafood dive (and a “dive with a dream”) around.
Keep an eye out for the bright pink building as you're cruising down Route 5 in Sunrise Beach. That's where you'll find the best seafood dive in the area.
Once you step through the front door at Shrimp Daddy's, you might think you've landed in the heart of New Orleans. The jovial atmosphere gives just a hint of the deliciousness that's to follow.
Bring a hearty appetite with you, because when you see the menu, you're going to want to try a bit of everything. Crawfish pies, shrimp cocktail, and gator eggs are among the appetizers.
Shrimp Daddy's currently has temporary hours due to the pandemic. You can eat in with social distancing or take out Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Have you been to this seafood dive in Missouri? What’s your favorite meal on the menu? Let us know in the comments! Next time you’re craving old-fashioned, authentic fried chicken, head over to Granny Franny’s in DeSoto.
