Rinehart's Music & Video, A Record Store In Missouri, Is 123 Years Old

Remember the days – whether we were kids or teens – we’d save our money to get our favorite band or singer’s last record, tape, or CD? We’d go to the closest record store, thumb through the albums, and find more than we could afford at that moment. That didn’t stop us from hanging out, though. Relive a little of that magic when you visit Rinehart’s Music & Video, the oldest record store in Missouri.

You'll find a little bit of everything - from records to books - at Rinehart's Music & Video, a family-owned record store that's been a staple in Kirksville for more than a century.

The popular record store opened at the tail end of the 19th century, in 1897, and has been going strong ever since. It, in fact, started selling phonographs in 1910.

Allot plenty of time to explore the massive inventory at the historic record store - which boasts thousands of albums, CDs, cassettes, and DVDs.

You'll even find an assortment of books, gifts, and other goodies.

As of April 2020, Rinehart's Music & Video is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. "Pick-up/carryout" is also currently available.
