12 Places In Missouri Where You Can Get The Most Mouth Watering Pie

I don’t know about you, but nothing beats a warm piece of fruit pie with big scoop of icecream on top, or a cream pie with tons of meringue, or a pecan pie, or a pumpkin pie, or well…you get the idea. Here are some of the places in Missouri where you can find absolutely delicious pie, either by the piece or by the pie. Yum! Keep in mind, these are not in any particular order, they are just all amazing examples of Missouri pie-makers!
1. Lehman’s Restaurant, Versailles
Located at 15830 Highway 5 in Versailles, Lehman’s serves traditional Mennonite home cooking, including amazing homemade pies! They are open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (until 7:30 on Fridays), and also have a gift shop offering unique locally made items. For more information, call them at (573) 378-4010.
2. 4 Seasons Bakery, St. Charles
The sole bakers for this amazing bakery are Agi and Aaron Groff, both graduates of the Culinary Institute of America. Located at 2012 Campus Drive in St. Charles, they pride themselves on being an all-natural artisan bakery. Open Tuesday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You can visit their website at

3. The Blue Owl Restaurant and Bakery, Kimmswick
The Blue Owl has a great story. It started with a woman named Mary Hostetter, who in 1983 was making baked goods under the name, "From the Kitchen of Mary" at craft shows, art fairs and festivals in the St. Louis area. Her popularity grew and she eventually opened her own restaurant in 1985 at 6116 2nd Street in Kimmswick. Expansions and growth continued and as a highlight, Jamie and Bobby Dean featured her "Famous Levee High Apple Pie" with caramel pecan topping on their Food Network show, "Road Tasted", in 2006. 4. Lubeley's Bakery & Deli, Webster Groves
Since 1937 Lubeley’s has been family owned and operated, and is located at 7815 Watson Road in Webster Groves. They are not just pies…they are also a bakery and deli featuring German pastries and cookies, danishes, coffee cakes, and beautiful decorated cakes including wedding cakes. 5. Corner Cafe, Riverside
Located at 4541 NW. Gateway Ave in Riverside, Ed and Kathi Rule have been in business since 1983 and in their new building since 1994. They are open Monday-Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and have other locations in Liberty and Independence. Visit

6. A Slice of Pie, Rolla
In 1986, two public school teachers, Ron and Mickey Hopson, fulfilled a dream and created a store featuring big, handmade, unique pies at 634 South Bishop Avenue in Rolla. They offer whole or half pies, a sampler platter, and whole or half slices. For more information and hours, visit them at

7. The Courthouse Exchange, Independence
This casual pub located under street level at 113 W. Avenue in Independence has been around since 1899. They feature "Sally’s Homemade Pie" on their dessert menu (flavors change daily). 8. Pie Oh My!, Maplewood

9. Cooky's Cafe, Golden City
Located at 529 Main Street in Golden City, you can follow Cooky’s on
Facebook for updates and information. They open each day at 6:00 a.m., but closing times vary. Also, they don’t accept debit or credit cards, but there is an ATM available on-site.
10. Peggy Jean’s Pies, Columbia
Peggy’s Jeans is a mother/daughter run business located at 3601 Buttonwood Drive Suite E in Columbia where "pie is home." They are open Tuesday-Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Online orders are also available for pickup and local delivery is available through Mr. Delivery. 12. Cowan’s Restaurant, Washington
Located at 114 Elm Street in Washington in an 1860’s building, they pride themselves on being the oldest restaurant in town, but still the "place to meet." They are open Wednesday-Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A family business since 1978, they also have a private room available for big groups and parties.
