Growing up in Missouri we can tell you that living in the same state gives us all a sort of camaraderie. We may have different viewpoints and live in different parts of the state, but one thing unites us all. We’re all Missourians, and there are just some common traits we all share. Missouri goes all out, which means everything is larger than life. Did you know that Missouri's home to the largest spool of thread? It sits outside of the Missouri Quilt Museum in Hamilton and stands 22 feet tall.
Her name is Maxie. She's 40 feet tall and her wings stretch out 65 feet. She's just another of the world's largest things in Missouri, which also includes the world's largest roll of toilet paper in Branson. These are the photos of Missouri we hold dear.
With an estimated 7,500 caves dotting the state, we all have our own favorite cave in Missouri. From Meramec Caverns to unnamed caves hiding along hiking trails, Missouri has more than earned the title of the Cave State.
We just have to go to St. Robert, where we'll find this unique roadside attraction that's home to a general store, a sideshow museum, and an escape room.
We're all about good food in Missouri, and it doesn't get more authentically Missouri than toasted ravioli. It's the perfect prelude to a delicious meal...
