Before social media, many great restaurants survived off word-of-mouth recommendations. Some hidden gems still thrive off of these recommendations, and that’s how we found this amazing little cafe in the middle of nowhere. You’ll be delighted when you dine on the deck of this peaceful restaurant, especially when a gorgeous peacock comes by to visit! Check out this absolutely stunning cafe for yourself.
Located between Coder and Higginsville is a beautiful old building on Peacock Road. Aptly named, this building is home to The Dancing Bear Cafe, where you can enjoy great food and the company of beautiful peacocks.
The building itself is more than 100 years old. It was a chicken hatchery for many years, then in 1999, Katie Crutchfield transformed the space into the Dancing Bear Cafe.
If it's simply too hot or too cold to dine outdoors, take a seat inside the homey dining room. You'll love the warm atmosphere and personal attention. Even if there are other patrons seated for dinner, the staff makes you feel like you're at a private dinner party.
Pick from one of the delicious entrees. A few items are a little adventurous, like Wasabi Salmon or the Red Hot Shrimp and Peppers. If you're in the mood for something a little unique, you can find it at The Dancing Bear.
However, if you want great food with no fuss, you can also find what you're looking for. The Rubbed Ribeye is a local favorite, but the Chicken Picatta or Roasted Pork Loin are also amazing choices.
For an unforgettable meal in a gorgeous setting, make reservations this weekend at The Dancing Bear Cafe. The cafe is only open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. However, for groups of 12 or more can make weeknight reservations.
