The Missouri State Penitentiary was once the largest prison in America. At its peak the prison held over 5,000 inmates. The Missouri State Penitentiary was also the location of death row in Missouri and over 40 inmates were executed in the gas chamber that is still on-site and available on the overnight ghost tours. The chill in the air is evident, are you brave enough to spend the night behind bars in what was known as the “deadliest 48 acres” in America?
Visit the Missouri State Penitentiary for a chilling overnight stay in Missouri's deadliest prison.
Spend time behind bars in the same prison where James Earl Ray and mobster Pretty Boy Floyd were locked up before they committed their most horrible crimes.
The prison was a very dangerous enviornment and held some of Missouri's worst criminals. Many people believe that the prison, which was decommissioned in 2004, is still haunted by the many prisoners that died there.
After a short presentation you and your friends can hunt for the paranormal during the overnight hours. The prison offers both a 5 hour and 8 hour public overnight tour. You can even rent monitoring equipment for the night.
Many visitors have continued to experience sensations or see apparitions and have posted about their experience on the Missouri State Penitentiary's Facebook page.
