Magical moments await all season long in Missouri. The question is: How much fun can you cram into the mere weeks that remain before Christmas arrives? For a memorable day, filled with activities the whole family will love, carve out a day to visit Old Kinderhook in Missouri for its popular annual Christmas Village.
The Christmas Village at Old Kinderhook, in Camdenton, welcomes the public and resort guests to its magical celebration each weekend – Friday through Sunday – through December 20, 2020.
Boasting a full menu of family-friendly activities, the Christmas Village is one of the most popular Christmastime traditions in Central Missouri with regular appearances from Santa himself.
You can even join the jolliest of all elves – Santa – for breakfast on Sunday mornings at The Hook Café. He’ll be on hand to greet diners on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
While Santa may be the star of the season, the Christmas Village also boasts appearances from other seasonal favorites – from Mrs. Claus and the elves to Olaf from Frozen.
The kiddos will find a ton to do, including making Christmas crafts, posing for photos with Santa, decorating gingerbread houses, writing a letter to Santa, and listening to stories told by an Elf.
Can you believe that’s just the beginning of all of the fun? Gather around a roaring bonfire to roast marshmallows and to make s’mores, and climb aboard a holiday hayride.
Did you know that Old Kinderhook also has an ice skating rink? Yep, you can glide on the ice during your visit to the Christmas Village, or join in on the fun at “Friday Night Characters on the Ice.”
