Well, we make our way to the darling Missouri town of Cuba, which just might be one of the most peaceful places to live in the country.
Tucked along Historic Route 66, the charming town of Cuba promises plenty to do – from outdoor activities to antique shops – for the whole family.
With a population of a little more than 3,100, Cuba is perhaps best known for its murals. The best way to get to know this small Missouri town is to go on the Cuba Mural Tour, which takes you to 14 awe-inspiring murals.

Cuba’s also well-known for its epic autumn celebration. Every October the small town in Missouri leaps alive for two days of fall fun, food, and entertainment.
Because it’s snuggled along the Missouri River, Cuba is ideal for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. The small town is also less than 30 minutes from Meramec State Park and Meramec Caverns.
