Everyone loves a good fairy tale, but what if you could visit a place that makes you feel as though you have walked right into a great fairy tale story? Bee Tree Park in south St. Louis County is so beautiful you may forget that you’re not in a dream. This park has stunning gardens, a beautiful 20th-century mansion, breathtaking views, and fun recreational opportunities.
Bee Tree Park is one of the most charming county parks in the St. Louis metro area.
The mansion on the park grounds was constructed in 1929 by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company founder, Eugene Nims. Situated on the banks of the Mississippi River this mansion was simply a weekend retreat for Mr. Nims, who was an avid gardener. Nims actually started the gardens that still surround the property.
Bee Tree Park is so stunning that you will feel as though you walked into a fairy tale. For this reason, the park is an extremely popular spot for weddings, prom pictures, and family photos. It's also a great spot for a day date!
