Many of Missouri’s urban neighborhoods are transforming into bustling centers for shopping, dining, and entertainment. One such neighborhood that has seen a big transformation over the past few years just received the “Great Street” award by the American Planning Association chapter of Missouri. The award this year has been given to The Grove, but if this comes as a surprise to you, keep reading and find out what you’ve been missing on Manchester.
The Grove is one of Missouri's most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. Surrounding the busy street of Manchester, this developing neighborhood is full of bars, restaurants, shops, homes, and businesses.
The neighborhood is also extremely bike friendly with many major biking events beginning and ending in The Grove. The neighborhood is also full of beautiful, bright murals! A glimpse of these murals is definitely a major reason to check out the neighborhood.
There are many great, locally owned restaurants to visit. You can get insanely tasty sandwiches at The Gramophone. This sandwich pub is just one of the many amazing restaurants on Manchester.
There are always cool and unusual events going on in the neighborhood. From human foosball to naked bike rides you really never know what you may find going on in The Grove.
The Grove is also a major entertainment district. The nightlife is great and the bars are very inclusive. There truly is a cool scene for everyone to enjoy.

The largest craft brewery in St. Louis can also be found in the neighborhood. Urban Chestnut Brewing Company opened their authentic, German style beer hall in 2014.

The Grove also has it's own music venue at The Ready Room. This small venue holds under 1,000 people but it's the perfect space to see fantastic artists up-close and personal.
It's no wonder that The Grove's Manchester Ave. was selected as the best street in Missouri! With so much to do and see, this eclectic neighborhood is a must visit destination in 2018.
