In a previous post back in July, we brought you ten places in the state with great sandwiches. Now we are back with 12 more, many suggested by you, the OIYM readers!
1. Smith’s Restaurant AKA Smith’s Short Shop, Collins
The Sandwich: The Giant Pork Tenderloin -- When they say giant, they mean GIANT. Unless you are a major eater, a half order is plenty. Pair it with their amazing onion rings and finish the meal with one of Smith’s delicious pieces of pie.

2. Maid Rite, Lexington
The Sandwich: The Maid Rite loose meat sandwich-- Maid Rite is an old chain with locations all over the Midwest. However, there are only three in Missouri. This addictive, yet simple ground beef sandwich is served up in a diner-like chain. Pair it with their French fries or freshly made chips and one of their delicious shakes.

The Sandwich: The Italian Sub (pictured)-- Pastrami, salami, cheese, mild peppers, lettuce and sub sauce all on fresh baked bread. Make it a meal and add your choice of chips or cookies and a 20-ounce beverage. Honorable Mention: Skinny Fighter Pilot—Turkey, pepperoni, cheese, lettuce, mild peppers and sub sauce.

4. Giant Tenderloin, Ecco Lounge, Jefferson City
The Sandwich: The Giant Tenderloin—An Ecco’s favorite, their giant pork tenderloin is grilled or freshly breaded and served golden brown. Pair it with a tree of onion rings. Honorable Mention: Grilled Blackened Chicken—topped with provolone cheese, sautéed onions and peppers (pictured).

5. The Z-Man, Joe’s BBQ, Kansas City
The Sandwich: The Z-Man—Tender slow smoked beef brisket, crispy onion rings, smoked provolone cheese and barbecue sauce on a toasted Kaiser roll. Pair it with coleslaw and potato salad.
