The Kansas City Mac and Cheese Festival in Missouri will be here before you know it, and you won’t want to miss a single delicious bite. In fact, the lively cheese festival just might give you a whole new view — and appreciation — for what’s arguably America’s favorite comfort food.
Mark your calendar for the annual Kansas City Mac and Cheese Festival, set for Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Berkley Riverfront in Kansas City.
The adults-only mac and cheese festival will host a slew of restaurants and chefs showcasing their own interpretation of the popular comfort food. You’ll even get to vote for your favorites after sampling them at the festival.
Among the chefs slated to be there is Chef Kalecia Simmons and her restaurant, The Chef & I. Chef Simmons is known for, among other things, her famous bang bang shrimp and catfish mac and cheese.
If you purchase the early admission tickets, you can enter the festival at 12 p.m., a half an hour early, for the first session, and at 4 p.m., also a half an hour early for the second session.
If you’re the designated driver or do not plan to drink at the festival, you can purchase the $49 Designated Driver tickets.
In addition to admission into the festival, your ticket provides you with unlimited sampling of some of the area’s best mac and cheese and an open bar. You’ll also receive a commemorative spork.
