By now, you probably know there there are some lovely sand beaches here in the Show Me State. Although these beaches don’t have ocean views, you can still spend a great day with your toes in the sand and a drink in your hand. If you’re looking for a huge beach with great swimming and fun attractions, then we’ve found the place for you. The humongous full acre, sand beach at Longview Lake is the ultimate summer day getaway.
You can be the ultimate beach bum at Longview Lake Beach in Kansas City. This large sand beach stretches across 43,560 square feet of space, so you'll have plenty of room to sprawl out.
This beach features lots of fun activities. The newly installed Rowdy Ribbits Water Sports Park sits just off the beach in the water. For $20 you can run, jump, climb, and flip across this inflatable course for an hour.
Come out for a beach party! The Jackson County Parks and Rec Department often holds fun, family events like movie and games nights at Longview Lake Beach. Catch a screening of Coco at the next movie night at the beach on July 13th.
Kids will love building sandcastles at the beach. Parents will love the convenient bathrooms and on-site showers. This means you can actually leave the sand at the beach! There are also concessions available if you need snacks or drinks.
