The Landers has seen plenty of performances in its long and storied history. It also has a tragic tale to tell. A fire swept through the theater in 1920, killing one of the janitors. Who haunts Satan’s Tunnel isn’t known. Legend says it’s a man who was hit by a train; (the tunnel sits near train tracks). Some also believe that it was a local man who heard strange noises from the tunnel, went to check them out, and never returned. His body was later found in the tunnel.
