Remember how much fun we had as kids? We didn’t care if we rolled in the mud and got filthy. Climbing trees, playing tag, and staying outdoors all day were what summer was all about. Rainy days meant jumping in puddles and playing indoors. And, probably like our kids after us, one of our favorite toys was likely LEGOS, which promised hours of fun. Channel the little kid in you when you visit this huge LEGO playground in Missouri.
Pile the whole family in the car for adventure and fun at Legoland Discovery Center in Kansas City, a playground that features 12 family-friendly attractions.
Of course, it's all about Legos at the playground, so where do you want to start first? How about a stop at the train station adventure, where you can build your very own Lego train?
Then, head to Miniland, a wonderland made from 1.5 million Legos. Marvel at mini towns, PacMan games, and all of your favorite Lego characters. And, after seeing miniature versions of your favorite characters, meet the life size ones, too.
Interactive games are the name of the game at the Discovery Center. Other fun activities include the Lego Art Gallery (make your own art), the Lego Ideas Studio (create and build your own Lego masterpiece), and the Duplo Village (just for the littlest guests).
Test Lego cars on a race track. The playground also offers a Master Builder Academy, where kids and adults of all ages can build a new project and learn some handy tips along the way.
Of course, you don't want to visit without stopping at the 4-D theater. Watch a Lego flick starring all of your favorite characters — from Emmet to Betty.
