Once the site of a silica sand quarry, the area was transformed into a park that draws visitors for its many activities and one feature, in particular - its white sand beach.
While swimming in Klondike Lake is not allowed, you still have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the white sand. How about, for example, going on a scenic hike?
You don't need much time - a half an hour tops - to follow the short, sweet, and breathtaking Klondike Lake Loop Trail, which spans just .06 of a mile.
