Located in the Parkville Nature Sanctuary, Old Kate Trail is a leisurely .8 mile hike that takes you through the woods and right to a stunning waterfall.
Depending on how much rain we've had in the last few days, you could see a calm and relaxing waterfall or a raging, cascade of water. However, even after a few rainy days, the trail is still safe to navigate for people of all ages.
The boardwalk trail will have your forgetting that your walking in a small park in suburban Missouri. While the trail is perfect for your whole family, your pet unfortunately can't join you. The Parkville Nature Preserve doesn't allow dogs.
However, the sanctuary is a fantastic place to spot wildlife. Along the trail you'll spot tons of bluebird houses. There's also a great chance that you'll spot turkey, deer, and squirrels.
