We’re lucky to be such a well funded city with all of our attractions, but sometimes it gets a bit crowded. If you’ve ever been feeling cramped in the city, here’s a list of 9 non-crowded places to enjoy.

Loose Park is a classic for anyone who wants to leave the bustle of the city, and though there's people walking around, you'll almost never find a crowd.

Enjoying a show here alone is as easy as getting a ticket in one of the boxes. That way, you won't have pesky neighbors chatting you up about the performance.

The Friendly Bean is just that - a friendly little coffee shop. They're on the smaller side popularity-wise, and have plenty of menu items you've probably never heard of.

Hodge Park is another nature getaway right in Kansas City. Taking a hike is a surefire way to make sure no one will bother you, especially if you have earphones in.

The library can be crowded during events, but normally it's pretty quiet and rarely bustling. It's an important part of a student's studies, so peace and quiet is respected and encouraged here.

Similar to the ranch dressing, this park is a perfect place for greenery. Everything's so lush and full of life, except there's almost no one around, compared to the Plaza where everyone seems to get together. Ah, fresh air and peace.

This cozy bakery specializes in baked goods of all kinds, and they're almost never overloaded with people. Also, their homemade pop-tarts are just amazing.

Though not technically in Kansas City, it's close enough that we recommend visiting for sure. The little waterfall and local wildlife are sure to bring a sense of calm that comes along with a lack of crowds. It's my #1 pick, and if you've been there, you'll understand why.
