No matter what season it is, you can always find a place for ice cream in your stomach after a hearty meal. Especially if it comes in the form of a milkshake. If you’ve been around Kansas City for any length of time, odds are you’ve heard about the milkshakes at this diner before. If you haven’t– you’re really missing out!
If you couldn't tell where we're headed by the sign, here's the classically designed exterior of Winstead's Drive-In. It hasn't changed much over the years, and that's largely what gives it the charm we love.
The interior also has retro lighting, seating, and design. It's also open until midnight or one, depending on the day.

... you definitely can't resist ordering a Skyscraper for 8! They come in six flavors, ranging from your standard chocolate or vanilla to a wackier butterscotch or pineapple. The other two flavors are strawberry and cherry, for those of us with pinker tastes.
The Skyscraper serves up to four, but if you can't finish it, you're welcome to take it home in a to-go cup. These milkshakes are the perfect treat no matter what the season may be, and their fame can prove it.
