There’s nowhere in the world quite like Kansas City. We’ve got the perfect mix of food, sports, and culture that is perfectly suited for our lifestyle. Don’t think we’re much different from other cities? Check out these reasons why KC is definitely the most unique city in America, hands down.
1. We helped bring big-name Jazz musicians to the world.
Legoland is one of the coolest places to visit if you're a kid growing up in Kansas City. Explore the wonderful creations of Lego and enjoy the craftsmanship even as an adult. What's not to love about a room full of Legos?
The Negro Leagues Museum holds a special place in our heart and we're proud of the efforts made to preserve this important piece of sports history. We're big fans of baseball, so we love to spread that love around.
We like being loud, especially when it comes to our love for football. We appreciate our other sports teams almost equally, but you'll never see us this excited anywhere else. A screaming sea of red is a great place to be when you're in KC!
Our beautiful Swope Park covers over 1,800 acres, making it twice the size of New York's famous Central Park. There's so much to do and explore - you'll always find new places to see no matter how many years you've lived here. A big park makes a big city happy!
You won't find designs like this just anywhere, and Kansas City loves these giant books as much as we love the library they're part of. What could be more fitting?
7. We're next door to a museum covered in NASA-created glass.
The nearby Museum at Prairiefire is the first building in North America to feature dichroic glass on the outside. The material bends and reflects light depending on differing conditions, giving the building a stunning, fiery appearance the seems to dance and glow at different hours of the day.
8. We're surrounded by the most gorgeous wineries.
We might not be Napa Valley, but we're definitely blessed to be surrounded by wineries in almost every direction. Plenty of wine keeps this city plenty happy!

9. We're home to a huge collection of toys from long ago.
The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures holds some of the world's rarest toys that you just won't find anywhere else. You could easily spend all day exploring the little pieces of art and history, but still not see everything here. There are just so many!
Kansas Citians love our local craft brews, but a stand-out favorite is Boulevard. We're so dedicated to their brews that special editions sell out almost immediately!
Evenings in Kansas City are simply the most magical you'll find. There's just no other way to say it.
We could spend all week explaining how great Kansas City is, but we’ll never run out of reasons that set us apart from the rest. What do you think makes us the most unique city in America? Share your thoughts in comments!
