With school out of session and longer summer days, you’re likely looking for some cheap and fun ideas for outings for your kids. This incredibly unique park right here in Missouri is the perfect place to take your children for a day of play. Kade’s Playground is great fun for children of all abilities and is ADA accessible. This state-of-the-art playground has created a place where all children (with and without disabilities) can play side by side, build confidence, exercise, and make new friends.
Kade's Playground is a universally accessible playground in Herculaneum.
The volcano theme was selected as a small nod to the town's name. The town was named Herculaneum by founder Moses Austin in honor of the ancient cities in Italy. Thus, the mini Mount Vesuvius was erected.
Swings at Kade's Playground were designed so that those with physical limitations can be cradled in the comfortable swing base without the fear of falling out.
There are items to help promote sensory development like musical instruments for sound and bright colors for sight. There is also an American Sign Language display board that shows the hand shapes for each letter of the alphabet.
Find Kade's Playground at 776 Joachim Ave.,
Herculaneum.
