Do you prefer an artificial or a real Christmas tree? Or maybe both? Both have their benefits, but nothing quite compares to that annual tradition of going to our favorite Christmas tree farm in Missouri, strolling up and down the rows, and that feeling you get when you find the perfect one. Then you tie it to the car roof before you head home, already talking about just how you’ll decorate it. Start a new or continue a treasured tradition with a visit to this charming Missouri Christmas tree farm this season.
Breathe in the crisp winter air as you begin your Christmas adventure at Starr Pines Christmas Tree Farm in Boonville. If you're not in the Christmas spirit yet, give it a few minutes.
The farm welcomes visitors - and their pups - usually daily from Thanksgiving until Christmas from 9 a.m. until it gets dark. Take a peek at their website or Facebook page (linked below) first, though, before heading over just to make sure there haven't been any changes.
If you time your visit just right, you might visit on a day when the farm offers hay rides to the field. Whether you hitch a ride or walk, wear sturdy shoes that you don't mind getting muddy.
If you're not too deep in the field, grab a sled to transport your tree.
The fun doesn't stop there. Stop by to visit the farm's donkeys and free-range chickens. You can even buy fresh eggs. Grab some candy and spiced cider to take with you, too.
