Just about everyone loves Lambert’s Café in Missouri, known all over as the “home of the throwed rolls.” Some diners, in fact, inevitably stop by this delightful café simply to experience catching those delicious rolls. Over the years, the Missouri diner has become a favorite among locals and those passing through. It’s also hosted some pretty famous names, too.
At most restaurants, a server will bring your dinner rolls to your table, but that’s not how things are done at Lambert’s Café in Sikeston and Ozark, and most people, including a long list of celebrities over the years, wouldn’t have it any other way.
Servers will toss your dinner rolls to you and if you think that is amazing, wait until you sink your teeth into these fresh pieces of culinary paradise.
Lambert’s Café has been delighting diners in Sikeston since 1942 and, during its storied history, it’s drawn some pretty famous people – from Elvis Presley to Stan Musial.

If you’ve not been, you’re in for a delightful and unique experience. While the throwed rolls might draw diners in, it’s the food that keeps them coming back.
In fact, an overwhelming theme from previous guests is, if you leave hungry, well then, it’s your own fault. The food is delicious; the portions are hearty, and the staff welcomes you like family.
You might be tempted to fill up on those heavenly throwed rolls. Don’t. Otherwise, you’ll miss all of the other deliciousness to come. From classic chicken pot pie to finger-licking good barbecue ribs, the menu has something for everyone.
